How Far Is Rodeo Drive from Hollywood Walk of Fame?

Since our Grand Los Angeles Tour goes to both Rodeo Drive and Hollywood Walk of Fame, we know the distance varies on the popularity of Los Angeles. It is generally about 20 to 30 minutes from the Hollywood Walk of Fame to Rodeo Drive and is 5.4 miles.

Can You Walk from the Hollywood Walk of Fame to Rodeo Drive?

Technically yes. Realistically, no. The walk takes roughly two hours at a steady pace. Visitors from European cities often assume Los Angeles works the same way, with one neighborhood flowing into the next. It doesn’t. Long stretches of the route run along wide boulevards built for cars, with little shade and not much to look at. By the time you arrived at Rodeo Drive you would be tired, warm, and in no mood to enjoy it.

How Long Does the Drive Take?

Between 20 and 30 minutes in normal traffic. Mid-afternoon on a weekday it can stretch to 45. Sunset Boulevard is the scenic route, Santa Monica Boulevard usually the quicker one.

What’s Between Hollywood and Beverly Hills?

The Sunset Strip, with the Whisky a Go Go, The Roxy and the Rainbow Bar and Grill. West Hollywood’s design district. Then the transition into Beverly Hills, where the streets widen and the palm trees line up.

What to Look For Once You Reach Rodeo Drive

Bijan, at 443 North Rodeo, has been called the most expensive men’s store in the United States. You will know it by the color. The building is yellow, the Rolls-Royce parked outside is yellow, and so is the parking meter in front of it. It is one of the few parking meters in America that people photograph.

Walk north and you reach Via Rodeo, the cobbled pedestrian street with the Spanish Steps, which is where most of our guests end up taking their group photo.

Seeing Both in One Day

The simplest answer is to let someone else drive. Our Grand Los Angeles Tour package covers the Walk of Fame and Rodeo Drive in the same trip, along with Beverly Hills and movie star homes, in small groups with a guide you can actually hear.
