The World Comes to Hollywood, And We Get to Show Them Around.

Some weeks remind us why we’ve been doing this for almost 39 years. This one did.

Hollywood Juan

On a short trail called Innsdale, tucked into Lake Hollywood Estates, we crossed paths with a local fruit vendor and one of our own guests, Juan. The vendor graciously stepped aside so we could snap a photo of Juan alone by the colorful cart, and it turned out to be a fitting shot, back home in Nicaragua, Juan’s nickname among friends is Hollywood Juan. He’d never actually seen the real Hollywood sign in person before this trip. Seeing him grin and throw up a peace sign, finally standing under the hills that share his nickname, was one of those small, genuine moments that make this work special.

Our guest Juan, nicknamed “Hollywood Juan” back home in Nicaragua, finally sees the Hollywood sign in person.

Maria, Lucia, and New Friends from England

During the same tour, our guests Maria and Lucia, visiting from Italy, struck up a conversation with a family from England, and by the end of the day, they’d become friends, swapping stories and laughing together at our stop at Griffith Observatory. It’s one of our favorite parts of running small-group tours, strangers from opposite ends of Europe end up in the same photo, already friends.

A Red Carpet Moment for a Family from Croatia

On a different tour, we brought a family visiting from Croatia to the entrance of the Dolby Theatre, home of the Academy Awards, and stood them right on the red carpet for a photo. For a moment, they weren’t just tourists, they were stars walking into their own Hollywood premiere. It’s the kind of moment that only comes from knowing exactly where to take our guests, and when.
